Friends and feed

Last updated September 23, 2026

Circle is the social side of Kallo. It is deliberately small and private — no discovery page, no leaderboards, no strangers.

Adding friends#

There is no username search. You connect by sharing a link.

  1. 1

    Create an invite link

Open the friends area and generate an invite link.

  2. 2

Send it to whoever you want

By message, wherever you already talk.

  3. 3

They open it and tap Accept

That tap connects you straight away — there is no second approval step on your side. You get a notification that they joined.

Links can be forwarded

Anyone holding the link can use it to connect with you — including someone you did not mean to invite, if the link gets passed on. The connection is made the moment they accept, so share the link only with people you want in your Circle. If the wrong person joins, remove them; they lose access to what you share from then on.

Having no user-search page is a deliberate choice: it means nobody can find your account from your display name.

The feed#

The feed shows meals your friends have shared, newest first. For each one you can:

  • React — a way to say "that looks good" without typing.
  • Reply — a short comment in the thread.
  • Log it to your own diary — useful when you both ate at the same place.

Only shared meals appear. Your log is private by default, and a new friend sees only what you share after you connect — meals you shared before that stay out of their feed.

Who sees what#

You decide per share. Automatic sharing is off until you turn it on in Settings; once on, every new meal is shared with your friends as you save it. When a meal is shared, everyone in its audience sees its description, its dishes and its nutrition figures. A friend sees the meals you shared from the moment you connected onwards, not your earlier history.

The detail on audiences and splitting is in Sharing and splits.

Removing a friend#

You can do this at any time. Afterwards they no longer see what you share. What they already saw, or already copied into their own log, stays on their side.
